Shadow was nominated this week for three Contemporary A cappella Recording
Awards (CARAs). The nominations recognize songs featured on our newest album,
Four, which has sold over 2,500 copies since its release in March of 2005
— a significant feat for an independent artist fighting for recognition
in the under-valued pop a cappella genre.
The
award nominations are: Winners
will be announced on April 1st by CASA, the Contemporary A Cappella Society
of America. If Four Shadow wins a CARA, it won’t be the first time
— Flake won Best Holiday
Album of the year in 2002, as well as Best Holiday Original Song for Drew's
original, That Time Of Year. Learn

Arts in Education As many of you know, Four Shadow strives to do our part to improve arts education in schools, especially grades K-12. We're proud of our work in schools, where we've been able to:
Four Shadow supports arts education in schools by offering a three-part music program suitable for K-12 students. Parts 1 & 2 take place during the school day, beginning with an interactive assembly for the student body. Four Shadow later leads a custom-tailored workshop for a smaller group of students, usually the music students or members of one or more choirs. Finally, schools are encouraged to involve the community as they present Part 3, an exciting evening show for all ages. These evening shows are often fundraising events. If you are a teacher, parent, or student of a school that might benefit from a Four Shadow performance, please let the school's music department know about our programs. For more information, download our Arts in Education flyer, or contact our agency, GL Berg. |
